Monday through Friday is the work week, so put in your work to get your weekend reward! Come and train with your teammates to improve yourself and create team chemistry. At NDO everything begins and ends with visual and cognitive training, but the work in between, building strength, explosiveness, stamina in concert with improving footspeed and agility transfers to success on your chosen field of play (or sheet of ice). Each athlete/teammate will have an individually prescribed workout based on their sport and their identified strengths and weaknesses (assessment results). Coming to NDO once or twice per week and focusing on areas identified for improvment, is proven to be the fastest, data-driven and supported, programmatic approach to building better athletes from their eyes to their toes.
Are you looking for a way for your team to get an edge on the competition? Has your team lost close games or lost momentum as the season goes on? There are many reasons this could be the case. Poor decision making especially when fatigued? Lack of endurance? Comparatively deficient team speed? Strength shortfall? It is likely a combination of all of these factors across all players on the team.
No Days Off Sports Training trains its student athletes from their eyes to their toes. This mantra is meant to encompass the fact that our training foundation is from the neck up (Visual and Cognitive), but this works best in concert with strength and agility training to maximize athletic performance. These four pillars of training need to be incorporated into each weekly program, as all identified deficiencies need to be remedied.
STRENGTH- Strength has been proven to be one of the most beneficial assets to athletic performance. Strength can enable faster sprint/skate times for athletes, running/skating more alone will not make stronger athletes. The key is finding what muscles are weak on each individual athlete and prescribing the correct exercises. By doing this you will improve force production and improve efficiency with each step you take.
AGILITY- Agility is our body’s ability to be fast and nimble, change direction, and change its positioning while one is actively in motion. Agility training improves flexibility, balance, and control. Agility helps the body to maintain proper alignment and posture during movement. Additionally, agility drills encourage our body to learn how to maintain correct body placement. With proper agility training, sensitive areas such as the lower back, shoulders, and ankles are protected while moving quickly.
VISION- Vision training results in increased eye-hand coordination, speed & accuracy of eye movements, better eye tracking, better eye focusing, and the strength to keep both eyes working together when your body gets fatigued. The goal of sports vision training is to maximize how the eyes and the brain lead and direct the body during competition.
COGNITION- Cognition refers to the mental processes that are involved in learning, remembering, and using knowledge. Cognitive training improves attention, decision making, and working memory to best enable an athlete to function at optimal levels in stressful and demanding environments (such as a game/match). The goal of sports cognitive training is to exercise the brain with specificity, resulting in improved overall performance, both in sport and life.
Here is a brief overview of how letting NDO Sports Training handle your team’s strength training can lead to an improved season.
1- Decrease risk of injury
We will do an assessment of each athlete when they begin, so we can get a baseline of performance, but also see potential risk of injury (poor form etc). Once we see what muscle groups are weak, we can prescribe special strength or prehab exercises to the athlete to further help their training move forward. Strong, agile athletes are less prone to injury. Additionally, once assessed our ability to assist with concussion identification and recovery is extremely useful.
2- Strength, Agility, Vision and Cognition all build speed
In sports, speed is crucial. Speed in decision making, speed in running/skating, speed in changing direction, and speed in reacting all are critical factors and highly trainable. The training must be beneficial to the athlete’s health and on field/ice performance. Speed has many faces, at NDO, we improve our athletes' speed across all four pillars.
3- Team training creates unity- Teams will learn together, struggle together, grow and improve together, doing exercises and drills that challenge their comfort level because they haven't done them before. Athletes experiencing this together, teams pulling in the same direction, towards the same goal, build a sense of unity from achieving their goals together. The training enables leaders to rise to the top and bring their teammates with them.
The path to greatness begins with that 1st step. Be in touch to see what all the fuss is about.

Visual & Cognitive Training with Senaptec and HecoStix
Sports/Athletic training is historically delivered in piecemeal fashion. Speed and agility training from one provider/facility. Strength/Physio from another provider/facility and Visual/Cognitive training, well that wasn't offered anywhere..... until now.
NDO Sports Training was over two years in the making. Extensive research, product trials and interviews with experts in the field (including doctors, certified professionals, professional coaches and athletes) resulted in out Build Better Athletes programs. With the core of our training being Visual and Cognitive Training, we can assess, monitor, measure, track, rinse and repeat to deliver tangible benefits to each individual student athlete. As the great Satoshi Takano, one of the earliest adopters and trainers of visual and cognitive services has said, "I may not turn everyone into a professional athlete, but think of all the great drivers being created!"
What is Visual and Cognitive Training? NDO Sports Training, designed by Dr. Juan Delgado (NYC), built a program on the scientifically supported notion that "baseline cognitive ability is able to predict future sporting achievement". This notion is validated by studies showing that athletes perform faster and more accurately on specific cognitive tasks. It is common knowledge that Sports performance, at the highest level, requires a wealth of cognitive functions such as attention, decision making, and working memory to be functioning at optimal levels in stressful and demanding environments. Cognitive training, as a major component of Sports perfromance, is a highly researched method of enhancing cognitive skills through repetitive and targeted exercises. The NDO training methods involved, accelerate and strengthen cognitive processes and skills such as peripheral vision, decision making, reaction time and hand-eye coordination. This is done through rapid, repetitive, focused training leverging a variety of our in house technology, as supported by the most current research. Improved visual and cognitive skills, such as peripheral vision and reaction time, have been proven to set the best athletes apart from the rest. Peer reviewed research has shown that high-performance vision and cognitive training can improve on field/ice performance by 10% in as little as six weeks.
Having now addressed training from the neck up (Visual and Cognitive), NDO Sports Training absolutely has the solution for the neck down, with its all encompassing strength, speed and agility comnponents. Designed by premier sports trainer Nathan Yamnitz (St. Louis), NDO's goal oriented training philosophy is to improve our clients ability to move. If we can help you move better, we have improved your life; whether you are an elite 11-year-old athlete, or a 78-year-old trying to maintain health and independence. If you move better, you live better. As far as sports performance goes, very few core training movements are actually sport-specific. Yes, we will make some allowances for overhead athletes, rotational athletes, etc... but about 80-90% of great programs should look very similar. However, it is that extra 10-20% where we make our biggest difference. Movement prep, corrective exercise, and ATHLETE SPECIFIC TRAINING (based on our assessments) will provide the best training possible for an athlete. Add in our state of the art delivery and monitoring systems, and we are second to none in the industry. After all:
- If something can not be measured, can it really ever be improved? We aim to address this with our assessment protocols.
- By using both movement quality and performance based tests, we are able to get a baseline assessment of each athlete or individuals abilities.
- Using technology like HumanTrak, allows us to quantify movement capabilities on a much deeper level.
- Using other data gathering testing equipment like lasers for sprinting, Quikboard, and jump mats / force plates also give us immediate feedback, not only on force production, but prescription for improving output as a whole.
The information gathered from our athlete's initial visits, including their intake assessment, ultimately yields their prescriptive program. Everyone's prescription includes moving weight to build strength and explosiveness. Focusing on lifts and lifting techniques that do not isolate individual muscles, but rather work muscle groups, often while engaging the core, provide the greatest returns. Our athletes will become bigger, faster and stronger all while being bettter able to avoid injury as a result of NDO's all encompassing, prescriptive programs.
